    i picked up a minolta Autopak-8 D10 @ a thrift store. i don't know anything about super-8 filmmaking, but i'd like to get into it. i tried putting batteries in, but still nothing would work. i'm shooting in the dark here. could anyone walk me through getting this camera going? thanks

    Well that Minolta is a pretty decent camera. If you put in batteries and nothing worked I would say you are up a creek. The thing I would do is send to someone who can open it up and see if everything is OK inside. There is a guy named Irv Higdon in Granada Hills CA. He has worked on my cameras and does not charge for an estimate either. Give him a call his company is called IJM and the numebr is 1-800-318-3259. Tell him Adam sent you.
